Until the second world war this was a draper's shop. From 1945-1950 it was the French Cleaning & Dyeing Co, and after that Pritchard's Cleaners. In the 1970s the Post Office moved from no.5 to the back of no.3, the front portion of which became a café/delicatessen. When the Lebanese owners retired some 10 years ago it was taken over by Chez Bruce.
