MYSTERY OF THE SHOES
Detectives, under Chief Supcrintendent Capstick, were trying today L L 0 trace a person who sold (or gave, | a puair of brown court shoes, s|/c{| three and a hall, to Mrs. Taylos the night before she died.
The shoes were found near her body in a carrier bag. Chief Superintendent Capstick has interviewed a number of shoe repairers.
Mrs Tavlor lived under the name of Carwardine at Westbourne Park. Paddington.
Police believe that her last journey was to meet a man, and that she spent some time in Wandsworth drinking with him.
