Morning Advertiser - Monday 18 November 1805

STRAYED, from Wandsworth Common, a CHESNUT GELDING, near 15 hands high, close cropped, wu a great deal of white in his face, and a very strong GREY MARE, about the same height. ‘They are both considerably touched in the wind. Whoever will give information where they may be found to Wm, Dent, Esq. at Wandsworth Common, shall receive TWO GUINEAS reward.

According to Francis Grose's Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue, Touched in the wind; broken winded. " i.e. suffers from respiratory problems, e.g. is a "whistler".

An excellent, convenient, modern, brick DWELLING HOUSE, in the cottage style, wLitlh gM doffices, T' double coach-house stabling for 6 horses;, harness room, &kc. acapi- se tal launidry and wash lhouse, with servant's room, aud store room adjoining, also numerous outbuildings, poultry yard, &c. a productive kitchen garden, prtly walled, and clothed. with the Choicest fruit trees; a shrubbery walk round the premises, which contain about four acres; -situated on a pleasing eminence; at Allfarthing, on the verge of Wandsworth Common, six miles only from the three bridges; the house contains 8 bed chambers, with suitable dressing room, and convenient closets, a' ro i-ig, 19 ioom, drawing. room, cuing room, estvdy; wVlli Frelich Will- w dows, opening on a slopirg lawn, embellished with a variety of beautiful shrubs; a convenient kitchen, washhouse, dairy, good cellaring, and other requisites for the accommodation of a genteel family; is held for a term of 41 years, at a ground rent of £5 per annum.

There is a field of nearly 9 acres immediately opposite the housc, held for a term of 17 years, which may be had at the option of the phirdliasef, the fixtures at a valuation.
