The Hopping Callico Printer of Wandsworth
[First reference I've found of a Wandsworth sportsman, albeit in this case competing on Mitcham Common. Reminder of the importance of commons in sport, and of (one of) Wandsworth's main trades in the C18. Quite why a calico printer should be good at hopping, I don't know.]
