No information prior to 1940 (I must try harder) when it was a dyers and dry cleaners; from 1950 there was also a small café on the premises. At some date after this it became a bakery.
(Here we have a problem: Stephen thinks it became a children's shoe shop, Insteps, in 2008, whereas I think Insteps was next door at no.11 - pistols at dawn!)
In any case, the bakery closed and for a few years it was a do-it-yourself cake-making enterprise aimed, I think, mainly at children, You Make a Cake. It is now the Trinity Hospice charity shop.
